wisconsin election results

Voters in Wisconsin participated in a partisan primary election on Tuesday, with races for Congress, state Legislature, county offices, and two statewide referenda.

This was the second-to-last regularly scheduled election in Wisconsin, setting up candidates for the final November 5 election, which will also include the presidential race.

Andrew Hysell won the primary for the 48th Assembly District in Sun Prairie with 32% of the vote, despite criticism over his previous business activities.

State Rep. Dora Drake, who won a special election in July, secured a full term in the Senate with 62% of the vote, all but guaranteeing her a spot in the Senate starting in 2025.

State Rep. LaKeshia Myers, who challenged Drake in both the special and August elections, improved her performance to 38% of the vote.

Rebecca Cooke won the Democratic primary for a western Wisconsin House seat and will face freshman Republican Rep. Derrick Van Orden in the November election.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos won his primary with 69% of the vote and will face Democrat Alan Kupsik in the November election, with the district still leaning Republican.

Tony Wied won the GOP primary for the congressional seat vacated by Mike Gallagher, largely due to former President Trump's endorsement.

Wied defeated former state Sen. Roger Roth and state Sen. Andre Jacque, who both conceded the race on Tuesday.

An extremely close Republican primary in Assembly District 28 saw former television anchorman Rob Kreibich narrowly leading Brady Penfield with just nine votes separating them.
